Reliance plans tech university in WB

The Reliance group is interested in setting up its second Information and Technology University in West Bengal after its first one in Gujarat.

Stating this Education Minister Satyasadhan Chakraborty said that the company had preliminary discussions with the state government for setting up the university in West Bengal.

"We have had very preliminary discussions on this. The timeframe, investment and other such modalities have not yet been finalised," Chakraborty said.

Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee, IT minister Manab Mukherjee and Chakraborty held discussions on the Reliance group's proposal during the day.
