Reliance Info launches 1,160 retail outlets

April 12, 2005 15:02 IST
Reliance Infocomm has launched WebWorldExpress, its largest exclusive retail network chain of 1,160 stores across 680 cities and towns.

These WWEs would supplement the existing 240 Reliance Web World stores in operation across 110 cities and towns for customer care.

The locations have been planned in a manner to ensure that a customer does not have to commute more than 2 km to visit the nearest one-stop shop, a Reliance Infocomm release said on Tuesday.

The WWEs will serve the customer at his doorstep from updating with products and service-related

information to facilitating speedy bill payments, COO K P Nanavaty said.

"They will ensure personalised relationship building with a small, manageable customer base with each shop serving as a hub to ensure enhanced customer value," Ajay Baijal, group head of channel business (wireless), said.

The chain of stores would be centrally monitored from the Reliance Infocomm headquarters. A national centre is also being set up at the Navi Mumbai headaquarters to monitor the wireline and wireless network throughout the country, the release added.
