Rediff.com has launched a subscription based online service, Rediff Radio, which will offer radio jockey-hosted shows and on-demand streaming music across 30 popular genres.

The service is targeted at the Indian-American community in the United States and would provide a range of Indian music and shows across two channels, Rediff.com said in a release in Mumbai on Thursday.

Rediff Radio would offer RJ shows on Channel one daily, while Channel two would feature non-stop music library, with around 30 popular genres to choose from, it said, adding key features include an ad-free environment, skip and rewind features and interactive programmes and requests.

All songs are licensed and regulated by Phonographic Performers Ltd and Indian Performing Rights Society, it said.

At present, Rediff Radio is exploring opportunities to present regional music in Tamil, Telugu and other languages, apart from additional genres like classical and devotional music, it added.
