CB Richard Ellis to expand Indian operations

Enthused over relaxed FDI norms in construction, global real estate services major CB Richard Ellis on Friday said it was planning to expand its operations in the country.

"India has realised the importance of real estate and its significant contributions in boosting the economy. We at CBRE India are drawing up plans for more intense and wider operations across the country," CBRE worldwide president and chief executive officer Brett White said at his meeting with Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath.

White, who is the first CEO of a real estate company to visit the country after relaxation of FDI norms also conveyed his appreciation on the decision, terming it as a step in right direction.

CBRE, headquartered in Los Angles, has been operating in India for last 10 years and has emerged a leading real estate consultant in the Indian continent.
