Ranbaxy Fine Chemicals signs marketing pact with US company

July 02, 2003 14:38 IST

Ranbaxy Fine Chemicals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ranbaxy Laboratories, on Wednesday said it has forged a marketing alliance with the US-based Mallinckrodt Baker Inc.

As per the alliance, RFCL will market MBI JT Baker and Mallinckrodt's range of scientific laboratory products in the domestic market.

This would enable RFCL to significantly increase its product offerings to the scientific community by offering the complete range of over 5,000 products of JT Baker and Mallinckrodt brands, a company release said in New Delhi.

"The alliance would leverage the technological and product development competencies of MBI and the marketing and distribution expertise of RFCL," it said.

Through this alliance, RFCL would extend high purity products and services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemicals, research and development, electronics, environmental and healthcare industries.

"This is a significant step in RFCL's ongoing commitment and thrust to become a 'total laboratory solutions provider' for research and analytical needs," RFCL Director Sushil Mehta said.
