Ranbaxy gets USFDA nod for BP drug

Ranbaxy Laboratories has received US Food and Drug Authority approval for Benazepril Hydrochloride, a high blood pressure drug.

The company has received the approval for various dosage forms from five mg to 25 mg, as per the information available with the USFDA site.

Ranbaxy had got tentative approval for the drug in 2004. The company had on Tuesday announced the setting up of its subsidiary in Italy to gain further foothold in the European market.
