Ranbaxy to sell 'Doktor Mom' in Romania

As per the arrangement, Ranbaxy will market the JB Chemicals' key herbal range brand, 'Doktor Mom', which includes syrup, lozenges and rub variants for the cough and cold segment, in the Romanian market, it told Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

While Ranbaxy will market these products in Romania, JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals will continue to manufacture them and will also provide promotional input for the brand, it added.

'Doktor Mom' herbal brand has been voted Europe's 'Most Trusted Brand' to fight HIV/AIDS pandemic for the last five years by the Readers Digen, the company said.

This is the first time the company has out-licensed its 'Doktor Mom' brand, it added.
