Ranbaxy launches Flotral

Ranbaxy Laboratories on Monday announced the launch of its drug for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia in India.

The drug, branded Flotral (Alfuzosin), provides effective relief from the signs and symptoms of the urological disorder, the pharma major said.

"The launch of Flotral further expands Ranbaxy's key strategic product portfolio and establishes the company's commitment to build its urology franchise through its competitive edge technology of Novel Drug Delivery System ," regional director,Ranbaxy (India), Sanjeev I Dani, said.

The drug, which is a 'once a day' medication, has been developed using Novel Drug Delivery System.
