A Central Bureau of Investigation team from Mumbai searched the residence of a top official of Bank of Maharashtra in Pune on Wednesday, bank sources said.

The CBI team arrived in Pune early Wednesday morning and searched the residence of Bank of Maharashtra's executive director A V Dugade, they added.

The CBI team did not allow any member of the Dugade family to venture out during the searches.

Dugade, who was recently promoted as the executive director from the post of general manager at the bank head office in Pune, had no inquiry pending against him, the sources said.

The sources said his office at Shivaji Nagar has not been searched.
