The airline, which currently operates 19 flights a week to Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram with Delhi being its fifth destination, also added another flight to the western metropolis increasing the weekly services from six to daily, its senior manager (commercial) Ali Al Rais, said.
From next Monday, the airline, which claims to offer five-star in-flight services, would increase its flights to Kochi from three to five a week and add one more to Hyderabad, taking the total number of services to four.

Claiming that the first A-320 flight to Delhi returned this morning with full capacity of 144 passengers, Rais said Qatar Airways would introduce wide-bodied A-330 aircraft in the near future keeping in view the high demand on the sector.
Observing that the Indian government had been "extremely pro-active" in the recent months to open up the sky, the official said the airline was looking at other major Indian cities to expand its operations, maintaining that there were five million Indians in the UAE including three million in Qatar alone.
Rais said the promotional fares, which were now being offered for a month, would be increased thereafter but maintained at a competitive level.
He ruled out low fares saying "we have set up high standards for our product and services, thereby allowing room for low-cost carriers (like Air India Express) to operate on the sector".
