Premji to ring closing bell at NYSE

The chairman of Wipro Azim Premji would ring the Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Friday.

According to an NYSE statement, other executives and guests of the city-headquartered Wipro would also visit the exchange on Friday.

NYSE-listed Wipro, with over $1.7 billion in revenues, is one of India's leading IT services companies and the fourth largest worldwide based on market capitalisation.

Wipro's major lines of business include product development, IT services, consulting and BPO, which together for the core of its integrated portfolio of services that it provides to Fortune 1,000 clients. Its 39,000 employees are located in 35 countries.
