Upcoming BMW cars that will be on display at Frankfurt Auto show

Come 19th September and get ready to be swoon at the Frankfurt Auto Show with the series of line-up planned by BMW. Hall 11 which has been designated to BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce, will see a lot of upcoming launches as well as additions in the existing ones.

 

BMW will showcase new cars, latest technologies as well as plug-in hybrid versions.

Let’s roll down to see what’s up from BMW’s stable at the Frankfurt Motor Show.  

2016 BMW 7 Series: The 7 Series brings with the new definition of luxury driving.

The body structure makes use of carbon fibre reinforced plastic which enhances the comfort, safety and dynamics of the car.

Under the hood, the engine is the plug-in hybrid system for the new BMW 740e coming from the new generation power units of the German carmaker.

For a better driving experience, BMW has the Executive Drive Pro-active chassis system, Driving Experience Control  switch with ADAPTIVE mode and BMW laser lights.

Inside the cabin, you are pampered with a massage function, illuminated Sky Lounge Panorama glass roof and a holder for smartphone with charging facility.

To make driving safe and secure, BMW is also adding Head-on Display, cross traffic warning, steering and lane assist, 3D pagination view, etc.  

 

2016 BMW X1: The new X1 takes the good looks of its elder sibling when it makes a transition from an SUV to a compact sedan.

In the inside, BMW X1 is spacious in  terms of passenger as well as luggage capacity. It boasts of premium and high-quality ambience and sophisticated functions.

The car will be sold in petrol as well as diesel engines. The features include Dynamic Damper Control, full LED headlights, Head-Up Display and Driving Assistant Plus System.  

 

 2016 BMW 3 Series: The successful 3 Series by BMW will have an updated engine as well as an advanced chassis.

The updated version of 3 Series will be in four petrol and seven diesel engines options and the power will either be transferred to rear wheels or all wheels depending upon the variant of the car.

The plug-in hybrid mates the BMW eDrive technology with four-cylinder petrol unit.  

 

BMW 225xe: This compact hybrid plug-in offers new BMW EfficientDynamics, Comfort and an all-wheel drive set-up.

The lithium-ion battery is placed underneath the rear bench which makes the boot even more spacious.

The engine is a 1.3-litre petrol engine and is mated to BMW eDrive technology.

It has an electric range of 41kms which ensure zero local emissions.

The technology spins rear wheels at the front in electric mode while the combustion engine powers the all wheels.  

 

 

BMW M6 GT3: A new racing model is being launched by BMW, the M6 GT. It has been built for endurance racing and will debut at the starting season of 2016. 

It has a V8 engine with Twin-Power Turbo technology and will use an aerodynamically optimised chassis.

The outer body is made of carbon fibre reinforced plastic which ensures that the weight of the car remains under 1,300kgs.  

 

 

BMW M6 Competition Edition: The BMW M6 coupè will be available in the Competition Edition.

It has a carbon fibre reinforced plastic body with special paints on the exterior and premium upholstery in the cabin.

It will be powered by a 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine coupled with M Twin-Power Turbo technology.  

BMW Laserlight: To make driving safe in dark and during the night, BMW has introduced the lighting technology in the new 7 Series.

The powerful BMW Laser-headlights will be available with anti-dazzle High Beam Assistant. This latest innovation by BMW will be showcased in Frankfurt Auto Show 2015.  

BMW ConnectedDrive: A host of technological changes will be introduced in the new BMW 7 Series.

BMW ConnectedDrive App, Remote Cockpit, WiFi hotspot, automatic updating of navigation maps, Remote control parking are a few features which will be making debut this time.

BMW i: BMW i Series of cars have been a pioneer in providing latest technologies and now this is further transferred to other BMW cars.

The CRPF (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) model used extensively in BMW i cars has helped the 7-series to reduce its overall weight to a great level.
