The offshore base in China would mainly deal with development of software products for banking, financial and services and insurance sector and high-tech manufacturing.
Patni Computers would also invest $8.5 million in its business process outsource operations and set up a new 50-seater facility in Pune. "This will enable us to offer offshore, onsite and onshore services from India."
