Oracle India launches HR management system

Oracle India on Thursday launched its human resources management system with India specific HR features that include payroll system which incorporates the country's tax forms among others.

Launching the solution in Bangalore, Oracle India managing director Shekhar Dasgupta said the firm would offer this solution to the existing 40-odd HRMS customers in the country, besides look at customers in segments which are rapidly growing.

"Our customers in India will have the flexibility to accommodate variations in business practice, data gathering and reporting while managing a global workforce," he said.

Oracle HRMS is a part of the Oracle E-business suite which aims at helping businesses manage people-related activities and assets, including communication collaboration, training and development, measurement, besides recruitment as well as compensation.

Joel Summers, senior vice president, HRMS development, Oracle Corporation, said that the solution, developed in India, is aimed at embracing the requirements of the new India global enterprise and incorporating them into the HRMS.

Oracle has 200 e-business suite customers in India including 40 for HRMS. The customers include HDFC, Indian Railways and IDBI bank.
