Now, SpiceJet offers discounted tickets in 3 states

April 09, 2014 08:40 IST

Carrying on with its low-fare offers, SpiceJet has now started giving limited-period discounted tickets to flyers from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.

The no-frill airline today came up with a three-day, region-wise special discount offer for travel originating from Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijaywada, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tuticorin, Rajahmundry, Tirupati and Kolkata.

An airline spokesperson said these low fares were being offered on one-way travel. The tickets could be booked till April 10 for travel between June one and July 31.

SpiceJet started a fare-war since January this year forcing its competitors to follow suit.

Travel portal Yatra.Com President Sharat Dhall said the scheme was "particularly attractive for travellers who are not bound by the need to travel during the summer school holidays".

"Young singles and couples with no kids and senior citizens, all stand to gain by pushing their travel plans to post the peak summer season on account of these very attractive fares," he said.
