The competition, which begins on 20th of this month, would allow consumers to design a particular theme for Nokia's multimedia phone N76. The winner would be awarded with a N76 handset and a trip to the company's design centre in Finland.
"This initiative would help people personalise their N series phones. I am confident that the design fest will give a whole new meaning to the way design and innovations in mobile devices are perceived by people," Nokia India Manager (Marketing Multimedia)
Alok Mehta told reporters in New Delhi.
A jury comprising world-renowned Indian designers such as Ex-Design Head Titan Michael Folay, Samir Tagra of Tagra and Thukral and sculptor Arzan Khambatta, would adjudge the winners of the competition.
These designers also unveiled a collection of mobile themes, which would be available for Nokia users on its website.
