"We will be foraying into international markets in Gulf and the UK by fiscal 2006-2007," Vikas Attri, technical advisor, Nirulas, said.
Refusing to divulge details on the overseas plans, he said Nirulas was concentrating on the unexplored markets, back home it has entered into a strategic alliance with Indian Oil Corporation.
Announcing the alliance, he said Nirulas would be setting up family-style restaurants and express stores at IOC retail outlets across India in a planned manner.
"Beginning with the national capital, where the first outlet proposed under the tie-up shall come up within two months, we will cover the NCR region, followed by highways leading to Delhi," J S Grover, VP, Nirulas, said after signing the MOU with IOC.
IOC, which has 10,000 retail outlets across the country, said it looked at the venture as a "value-added service" to its customers.
"The tie-up is aimed at enhancing the non-fuelling facilities at our retail outlets for a customer who looks beyond his fuelling needs when he goes to a service station," T L Jain, executive director (retail sales), IOC, said.
Asked whether the agreement was also valid for Sri Lanka, where IOC has outlets, he said if Nirulas could establish themselves as a brand there, they would foray in that market.
