NetguruIndia, a Nasdaq listed company, is planning to enter the information technology business in China and Japan.
The company -- which already has operations in Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar -- is also acquiring the software rights for various animation products.
Netguru had entered into a memorandum of understanding with Multi Media University of Malaysia some time back, covering multimedia research and development and faculty training exchange, along with joint cooperation in placement related matters. The tie-up will enable the company to rope in more students from India and neighboring countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, and Myanmar.
In Thailand, Netguru has tied up with Edinfo, a large Thai company, for enhancing the reach of animation, collaboration software and e-governance projects. Netguru's other jobs there include Thailand's IT Museum project, Thailand Aquarium and ThaiDatabase, a comprehensive web portal.
Netguru sources said it was talking to the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research and National Electronics and Computer Technology Centre for Netguru's high-end collaborative solutions. The contracts from Thailand were worth more than $250,000.
In Myanmar, Netguru was pitching for work from ministries and departments at the capital city of Yangon. It was pitching for contracts for development of IT services in education and defence sectors, along with healthcare and e-governance business.
