The NDA government will carry forward and implement the "good" policies and rail projects of the UPA regime, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said in Lok Sabha on Monday.
"We don't want to look at development projects with the prism of politics. Railways is a national assets. We will carry forward the good policies and implement projects announced by the previous UPA government," he said during Question Hour.
Prabhu said completion of a railway project is dependent upon various factors like funds available, acquisition of land, statutory clearances from forestry and wildlife departments, cutting of trees and construction of road overbridges.
"Since many of these factors are beyond the control of Ministry of Railways, timeline for completion of all these projects have not been fixed," he said.
