Microsoft award for Deepak Puri

Microsoft has presented its Most Valuable Professional Award 2005 to Deepak Puri, a senior consultant with Progressive Insurance -- the second largest insurance company in the US.

Puri was chosen for his efforts in guiding his peers in Windows Server System - SQL Server technical communities, a release said.

Microsoft instituted the award more than eleven years ago to award individuals for their outstanding contributions in a wide range of community activities, it added.

MVP award is given to the most active online community expert for technical expertise, voluntary willingness to share his experience and commitment to helping others to realise their potential within the Microsoft's technical communities.
