Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group's financial services and product distribution arm Reliance Money launched on Friday portal to disseminate financial market information to its customers over mobile phones.

The portal - Mobile Financial Portal -- would offer corporate news, announcements, research reports and stock quotes to its customers across all mobile platforms, a company statement said.

With this initiative, the company will now be tapping around 200 million telecom user base in India, it added.

The mobile platform has been launched in collaboration with Webaroo, a web-content creator for all portable devices, including mobile phones, storage devices and laptops.

The tie-up was announced by Reliance Money director and CEO Sudip Director and Webaroo co-founder and president Beerud Sheth.

"This unique initiative will provide mobile users an opportunity of staying connected with financial markets while on the move, irrespective of the status of their network. Most importantly, this service is being offered by Reliance Money free of charge," Bandyopadhyay said.

"The portal, with its rich contents and advance graphics, is cached on the user's mobile handsets for facilitating quick and seamless experience irrespective of network connectivity," Beerud Sheth said.

Reliance Money is among the first financial intermediary to introduce mobile portal for providing financial market information, in-house research and stock updates to its users.
