Exams? Forget books, mobiles will guide you!

Tired of pouring over books and other study materials for competitive exams like GRE, IIT, CET and IIM?

Here's an interesting alternative -- forget the boring books and instead just switch on your handsets and answer the multiple choices available on them to prepare for your exams.

EnableM, a wireless application company, has come up with just such a solution. It has tied-up with Institute of Management Studies for launching a comprehensive MBA study material within a month called the 'Prep Guide'.

This service will be available on phones through WAP/SMS/ voice and multiple applications and would involve major operators to provide the service.

All a student has to do is go to a particular study zone, type the code and avail of the services. And all for just a fistful of rupees, Rs 100
per month.

EnableM Director Amit Zaveri told PTI in Mumbai on Wednesday that 'the current emphasis would be on general vocations and skewed towards preparation for all management examinations.'

It is a comprehensive module catering to all the learning requirements for an MBA training programme, which comprises an English zone, Math zone, logic and reasoning and must-knows.

Going forward, the company plans to tie-up with government institutions and would provide facilities for other courses as well, he said.

"Once we tie-up with the operators, anyone can avail our facility by selecting the zone and paying the amount," Zaveri said, adding "by 2008, we expect around 1-lakh students to avail the facility."
