Milk may be dearer in Maha

The Maharashtra government will consider a proposal to hike the price of milk by Rs 2 a litre on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters in Kolhapur, Marketing Minister Harshwardhan Patil, who is also the guardian minister of the town, said the Cabinet would consider the proposal at its meeting on Wednesday.

MumbaiĀ faces a shortage of five lakh litres of milk every day, he said.
