National Association of Software and Service Companies on Thursday condoled the death of former IT and Communications Minister Pramod Mahajan, saying the country has lost a dynamic leader in him.
"Nasscom and the entire IT industry are deeply saddened by the tragic demise of Pramod Mahajan. We share the grief of fellow Indians at his death, and express our condolences to his family," a statement by the industry body said.

It said when Mahajan became the IT Minister in 1999, he played a vigorous, dynamic and pro-active role in developing the industry and making it the poster-child of a vibrant India.
"He developed and truly reflected a government-industry partnership model that could move beyond bureaucracy and control to facilitation and promotion," Nasscom added.
