Liba's new management courses

October 29, 2004 12:12 IST

Loyola Institute of Business Administration has launched India's first blended learning programme and will offer advanced management courses for working professionals through a partnership with Universitas 21 Global.

The management courses will be a combination of on-campus and online learning, UG-21 will provide the online support for the executive programmes.

"The entire course treatment and pedagogy is designed to suit the working professional who is looking for an option to learn and upgrade his skills at a pace that complements his workplace demands," said Reverend Father P Christie SJ, director, Liba.

The 12-month executive programme proposed by Liba offers two areas of specialisation; the executive post-graduate diploma in human resources management and the executive post-graduate in marketing management. The courses are designed for working professionals or graduates with a minimum of one-year experience.

The on-campus component of each programme is segregated into four visits to the Liba campus and UG-21 will provide the online tuition for the modules.

"Much like the online MBA programme offered by UG-21, the executive programmes being offered by Liba are aimed at working professionals. The curriculum is designed to be focused on developing the kind of skills that are high in demand in the marketplace," said Dr Jeremy Williams, director, instruction and assessment, UG-21.

The programme will be available for enrollment from November 3, 2004. Liba has been ranked 11th in the all India business schools survey conducted by Business Today-AC Nielsen ORG Marg.

UG-21 was established in 2001 as the world's premier online graduate business school and offers a globally recognised MBA programme backed by 16 of the world's leading universities.
