LG plans big venture in Haryana

South Korea's LG Electronics, which is scouting for a site to locate its next big venture in India, has decided to zero in on Haryana.

Informing the company's decision to Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who is in Seoul, LG Electronics vice president Bae Jae Hoon said, "LG would definitely consider and visit Haryana at the earliest possible, considering the locational advantages of Haryana."  

On Wednesday Hooda held talks with Hoon and other senior executives of the company at its headquarters in Seoul, an official statement said in Chandigarh.

However, it was not known what the company's next venture was. The chief minister also briefed the LG management about the potential of the state in the area of electronics, IT and IT enabled services, including nanotechnology.
