The Made In India show organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in Sri Lanka has generated business enquiries worth over $110 million.
The Sri Lankan government has shown interest in purchasing around 1,000 Indian tractors worth $20 million.
About 130 companies participated in the five-day exhibition, which was supported by the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the ministries of industries, commerce and consumer affairs of the government of Sri Lanka.
The industry body said the high point of the event was "Enterprise India", which showcased a range of consumer products, including garments, textiles and household products.
"The Enterprise India show saw an overwhelming response from Sri Lankan consumers. The turnout was beyond expectations as it crossed sixty thousand," a CII statement said.
It also said there was a business-to-consumer exhibition along with a focused business-to-business exhibition at the show.
Following the tremendous response to this year's show, the chamber is planning to make the event an annual affair in Colombo.
