Was Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav ever a businessman?

Early in his life when 'I was not studying, I was in the business of milk', he told NDTV when asked if he is a businessman after he received the Best Businessman of the Year award from the news channel.

Replying to another question, Yadav  requested Finance Minister P Chidambaram to withdraw service tax imposed on food items served in trains saying the Indian Railways can then provide better food to passengers.
