Unorganised sector workers from over half a dozen states have formed an all-India organisation to demand early enactment of a law to provide them social security.
Representatives from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi and some other states met under the leadership of RJD MP Devendra Prasad Yadav in
New Delhi on Sunday and formed the Akhil Bhartiya Asangathit Mazdoor Sangh.
Welcoming the Cabinet's decision to introduce a bill in the Monsoon Session of Parliament to provide social security to nearly 40 crore workers in the unorganised sector, they demanded that the legislation must cover the entire unorganised sector.
