Kolkata to Mumbai via Goa in luxury train

Indian Railways in association with i-novatrip.Com is all set to organise a luxurious journey from Kolkata to Mumbai via Goa to give a boost to tourism.

The trip, scheduled to start on January 2, 2009, would take one on an 11-day trip of splendour amid exotic locales of goa to end with entertainment extravaganza with bollywod.

The previliged tourists would spend three nights and four days in a star hotel in Goa where they could enjoy food festival, watersports and rain dance during the tour, promoted jointly by i-novatrip.Com, Indian Railways catering and Tourism Corporation and Goa Tourism.

Equipped with all amenities of star category and exotic cuisines as part of its in-house novelty, the air-conditioned train has other facilites including a dedicated FM radio channel, a special medical unit along with doctors and nurses, trained men and women attendants.

The packages costs Rs 34,990 per head and tourists from Orissa have been offered free tickets in AC three-tier from Bhubaneswar to Kolkata, IRCTC sources said.

The tickets are available in the IRCTC office in Bhubaneswar, they said.

Other attractions during the tour included the Doodh Sagar falls, the 36-km long Hospet Hampi ruins, the Godavari river basin from vijayawada to Guntur, the Tungabhadra river and the Shiva Samudram dam.
