Kinetic to ride Nova to Europe

Close on the heels of entering into a technical tie-up with Italian scooter firm Italjit, Kinetic Motor Co on Tuesday said it would start exporting four-stroke 115cc scooter Nova to Europe by the end of March.

The Nova has completed homologation requirements for the European countries, Kinetic joint managing director Sulajja Firodia Motwani said in a statement on Tuesday.

"We identified it as a product with large global sales potential and expect to earn substantial amount of revenue and foreign exchange for the company," she said.

The scooter will be dispatched to Turkey, Sweden, Czech Republic, Greece and the United Kingdom by the end of March.

The Pune-based firm is also aiming to export the scooter to the United States followed by Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Kinetic has set up overseas assembly lines in Argentina, Turkey, Bangladesh and Iran.
