"We will invest between $50-100 million in India in next three to five years to take our headcount at research and development centres here to 10,000 from 2,000 at present," Brian T Keane, president and chief executive officer, Keane Inc said. He said that in the couple of years India would account for maximum number of employees of the company.
"India will become a base for research and development and corporate operations," Keane said. He said the company has planned large-scale expansion in India because of increasing business and to shift a part of the company's capabilities to India.
"While we will continue to grow in US, UK, Australia and Canada, the growth in India will be highest. Though we will continue to grow delivery capabilities in these markets some process will shift to India," he said.
The company has development centres in Noida, Gurgaon and Hyderabad. "We are also looking at setting up a campus style facility while we continue to expand in cities where we are already present," Keane said.
"We are looking at a tier two location to locate its campus," Sukant Srivastava, Keane India managing director said.
