In a move that would make it the country's largest career website, Monster Inc on Tuesday announced the acquisition of Indian jobs portal jobsahead.com for about Rs 40 crore (Rs 400 million).
"The deal is of the size of about Rs 40 crore," Puneet Dalmia, chairman of jobsahead.com, told newspersons in New Delhi.
However, Arun Tadanki, president and managing director, Monster Asia, said that the company, at this stage, would not disclose any financial details of the deal.
Tadanki said the definitive agreement for the deal was signed two days ago and it will take a minimum of two to three months to get all the regulatory approvals.
The combined entity, which will be called 'Monster', would have a workforce of 200, including 135 from jobsahead.com.
