Jet Airways on Thursday joined other airlines in offering low fares on a limited basis, announcing a 30-day advance purchase scheme on domestic flights of its no-frills subsidiary Jet Konnect.
With the peak travel season coming to an end, Indian carriers, including Air India, have triggered a fare war offering limited period low-priced tickets across most sectors within the country.
As per a circular to travel agents, the Jet Konnect scheme is valid for sale on Thursday and Friday with travel up to April 15, like the offer of most other airlines.
Air India launched a short term 'SpringSale' of up to 50 per cent on all domestic sectors of its network, which is up for sale till Friday and valid for travel between February 21 and April 15.
Low-cost carrier SpiceJet was offering 50 per cent off on base fares on tickets booked on select flights at least 30 days prior to travel which can be purchased till this midnight, while its no-frill competitors -- IndiGo and GoAir -- launched a similar scheme slashing fares by 30-50
