US' Accurum to hire 1,600 in India

June 11, 2004 07:39 IST

While announcing that henceforth it would sport the brand new name of Accurum, US-based capital market technology provider, Pinnacle Info Solutions, on Thursday said it plans to hire 1,600 IT professionals in India over the next three years.

Announcing the name change, Venkat Vallabhaneni, chief executive officer of the company, told a press conference that management of the $15 million company, floated in 1996, had decided to concentrate only on capital market solutions from now on.

He said his company's target was to achieve $100 million turnover by 2009, adding that this could be easily achieved as the stock exchange in New York had a lot of potential to absorb technology.

He said while the company would start operations at Chennai in June, it would soon open branches in Mumbai and Bangalore also.

The company, he said, would be providing consultancy services to financial institutions and stockbrokers.
