In a bid to provide reliable data connectivity to the software export companies in the East and North-Eastern India, the Software Technology Park of India will set up two more such parks in West Bengal and one in Manipur.

"So far the focus and concentration of STPs have been in South and North. Western India also has STPs in key states. Our current focus is on East and North-East. We will set up two STPs in Kharagpur and Durgapur each in the next two months and one STP will also come up at Imphal in the next six months," official sources told PTI in New Delhi.

STPI is also exploring possibilities of setting up units in Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir and Jodhpur, they said.
