A five-member delegation of Indian officials would arrive in Islamabad on Tuesday to begin two-day technical-level talks with their Pakistani counterparts to discuss the resumption of direct air links and to lift the 20-month-long mutual ban on overflights.
The Indian High Commission officials in Islamabad said a delegation of Indian officials, comprising civil aviation officials would arrive on Tuesday evening to hold talks with their Pakistani officials beginning August 27.
Satendir Singh, director general, Indian Civil Aviation Authority, is leading the delegation. Other members include officials from the ministry of civil aviation, Indian Airlines, Air India and Indian Airports Authority.
Both India and Pakistan have already expressed their readiness to resume air links between Lahore and New Delhi, and Karachi to Mumbai, which were suspended from January 2002 following the terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament.
