India bags most of World Travel Awards

India has emerged as one of the the hottest global tourist destinations in Asia bagging most of the World Travel Awards.
While 'Incredible India' has been chosen as the world's leading travel destination television commercial, the 'Endogenous Tourism Project' of ministy of tourism has been awarded as the world's leading responsible tourism project in a function in Barbados on Thursday.

"We will receive the award on November 14 in the World Travel Mart to be held in London," Amitabh Kant, joint secretray in tourism ministry, told PTIĀ in New Delhi on Friday.

The country was chosen as Asia's leading destination and leading

tourist and convention bureau at the awards which are decided upon by travel professionals worldwide.

The winners will be invited to some exclusive events and global promotions.

Besides having the rights to use the World Travel Awards Winner's Shield in all marketing communications and advertising, the winners will also have an exclusive access to the annoucement campaign, the fast and effective marketing tools, which has been highly endorsed by previous winners.
