Indian Hotels eyes more revenue from abroad

The Indian Hotels Company Ltd, operating the Taj brand of hotels, on Wednesday said it expects revenue from its International operations to be one third of the total revenue in the next five years and plans to expand in east Asia eyeing the huge potential in the region.

"We expect bigger revenues from international operations and expect to be one third of the total revenue in the next five years," N Bickson, MD, Indian Hotels Raymond said.

The company, he said, is looking at expansion in East Asian region through contract management or picking up equities.

"We will be looking at expansion, through contract management or picking up equity, in locations like China, Singapore Thailand, Hong Kong and Fiji as we belive Asia is the region of the future," he said.
