Idea Cellular Ltd, a three-way joint venture company between Tata, Birla and AT&T, has launched two new tariff schemes, Chitchat Flexi and Buzz99, for its new and existing customers.

The new plans, both for post and pre-paid customers, are being introduced as part of the company's celebrations on achieving 20 lakh (2 million) subscribers, Idea Cellular said in a release in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Chitchat Flexi is a pre-paid, daily rental scheme offering connectivity for Rs 6 per day, it said, adding the customers would be able to utilise upto full talk-time under this plan and recharge vouchers.

The facility is open to all existing and new subscribers through a migration process from a fixed processing fee to a flexible fee, it added.

On the Buzz99 plan, the company charges a monthly rental of Rs 99 with a flat outgoing rate of Rs 2.49, it said claiming, it is the "lowest-ever rental plan by any private operator in the country".

At present, Idea Cellular provides services in Maharashtra and Goa, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh and Delhi and National Capital Region.
