New student scheme from ICICI Lombard

ICICI Lombard General Insurance on Tuesday launched a travel insurance scheme for students going abroad for studies.

The new scheme 'Plus Plan' is an improvement over the company's earlier 'Gold' and 'Silver' plans and is compliant with requirements of universities all over the world, ICICI Lombard said in a release.

The Plus Plan policy will be considered by foreign universities as 'comparable policy' and a student need not buy a more expensive university policy, it claimed.

The plan covers visit by parents, bail-bond in case of arrest, enhanced medical benefits in addition to medical exigencies like accidents.
