The rupee on Wednesday lost another 15 paise to 67.50 against the dollar in early trade at the inter-bank foreign exchange market due to appreciation of the US currency overseas.

Sustained demand for the dollar from importers too weighed.

Dealers attributed the rupee's weakness to dollar gains against other currencies overseas and a lower opening in the domestic equity market.

On Tuesday, the rupee had snapped its 6-day winning spree by falling 27 paise to close at 67.35 on fresh demand for dollars from banks and importers amid a fall in crude oil prices.
