Hero Honda sales up 18.3%

Hero Honda Motors,  India's largest motorcycle maker, on Monday said its sales rose 18.3 per cent in October 2004.

A total of 2,45,475 units were sold in the review month over 2,07,472 motorcycles in October 2003, a company statement said.

Hero Honda, which is 26 per cent each owned by Honda Motor Corporation of Japan and Hero Honda, which is 26 per cent each owned by Honda Motor Corp. of Japan and the Munjals, has launched a limited edition of entry-level motorcycle 'Splendor'.
