The fourth annual survey of best employers in India by global human resource consultancy firm Hewitt Associates will also rank companies which employ blue collar workers.
Hewitt, whose three similar surveys earlier had focussed solely on white collar workers, on Wednesday said that it will be for the first time that blue collar workers will be included in any such survey.
The company, which ranks 25 top employers in India, said that for this year's study it has so far received more than 220 entries.
"The number of entries that we receive each year is increasing. This year we expect 250 companies to participate in the survey," Madhvi Misra, consultant with Hewitt said.
The results of the survey will be out in October this year.
"The survey of employers in India is part of the study being done by Hewitt in Australia, Canada, Asia-Pacific, South America and Europe," Misra said.
For blue collar workers the company will have a separate ranking -- Five Best Managed Workforces.
The study will be conducted in three phases. In the last phase, independent panel of experts will analyse the data provided by Hewitt before arriving at final rankings.
"All precautions have been taken to ensure that the employers do not try to influence responses of employees and get away with it," Misra said.
