Top American varsity to open Hyderabad campus

Georgia Tech University, a leading technological education institute in America, has decided to open its campus in Hyderabad. A decision to allow the university to set-up in Hyderabad was taken on May 25 at a high-level meeting presided by Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.

GTU is a premier technological institute that enjoys a global reputation. The university authorities, as part of their plan to open branches in other parts of the world, had visited India, and

evinced keen interest in opening their campuses in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.

 The GTU will seek the All India Council of Technical Education's permission for opening its Hyderabad centre. A memorandum of understanding in this regard will be signed on June 5, according to an official release. The American varsity will be offering MS and Phd degrees in various subjects like engineering, science, industrial and business management, the release added.
