The Gujarat government may be sincere in its efforts to make the Vibrant Gujarat summit a success, but stars foretell a different story, says famous astrologer Bejan Daruwalla.

The summit is not going to bring in investment to the state as expected, says Daruwalla, who was in the city for the launch of 'GaneshaSpeaks,' a service provided by Siddhivinayak Astrology Services.

He also said the Narendra Modi-led BJP government in the state will have a tough time for the next three months or so."

He said "The Indian astrology services market is worth in excess of Rs 2,000 crore (Rs 20 billion) and growing. This is primarily because more than 50 per cent of the families in India are seeking astrological services from family astrologers."

On Ganeshaspeakes.com, chief executive officer of Siddhivinayak Astrology Services Hemang Pandit said, "The market for online astrology is expanding rapidly. The business volume from Indian surfers itself accounts for an estimated Rs 15 crore (Rs 150 million)."

'Ganeshaspeaks' provides astrological prediction on a variety of matters at rates ranging from Rs 201 to Rs 2,001.

The company is aiming at a turnover of Rs 2 crore (Rs 20 million) from its online venture and another Rs 1.50 crore (Rs 15 million) from its off-line activities in the first year of operation.
