Airtel Broadband & Telephone has tied up with Indiagames for offering online gaming for its broadband customers for Rs 199 per month.

The company has joined hands with Indiagames to bring its 'Games on Demand Service' to the broadband customers, Airtel Chief Marketing Officer Akshay Kumar said after the launch of the service.

The portal was unveiled by Sachin Tendulkar.

More than 50 games are available for Airtel broadband users, which would be increased to 300 by 2007, Kumar said.

The users would be able to choose from a variety of single player and multiplayer games, which include titles like Age of Umpires, Star Fury, Driv3R
and Flight Simulator among others.

"The gaming market in India in 2004 stood at $25.4 billion and is estimated to reach $54.6 billion this year," Kumar said.

The number of broadband users in the country is expected to increase 15 times by 2010, Kumar said, adding that India currently has about seven million Internet subscribers.
