Ford India Ltd on Tuesday drove into the growing sports utility vehicle market with the launch of its Endeavour model.
The vehicle, which is powered by a 2.5 litre turbo charge and inter-cooled diesel engine, is priced at Rs 12.90 lakh [Rs 1.29 million (ex-showroom Delhi)], David Friedman, president and managing director, Ford, told newspersons in New Delhi.
The 7-seater vehicle has features like anti-lock breaking system, dual air bags and a DVD player.
Endeavour, which will be offered in a 2-wheel drive version with a 4-wheel drive option, will be on display in select markets across the country this month, with deliveries commencing in November.
