Highlighting the Indian entrepreneurial spirit, she added, "The changing consumer behaviour and growing adoption of internet will help to create more opportunities for young Indian entrepreneurs in the online world both in India and around the globe."

Meg Whiitman and Gautam Thakar, country manager, eBay, India addressed the Indian media at a briefing in Mumbai.

Gautam Thakar said, "We are delighted to see Indian sellers leverage the eBay platform to sell apparel, jewellery, handicrafts & stamps to thousands of buyers worldwide. In fact, an Indian seller sells an item to a global buyer every 9 minutes."
