The Delhi Stock Exchange, which was closed around eight years back due to a variety of reasons, will re-start operations in the next two months.

This was stated at a press conference on Wednesday by Dushyan Chauhan who is the head (marketing and communication) of the Delhi Stock Exchange.

Chauhan said that the DSE had been closed due to a number of reasons including changes in rules by the SEBI and added that the DSE was unable to absorb the effects due to them.

He said that right now, the only two stock exchanges that were working in the country at the national level were the BSE and the NSE and added that the DSE will now work along with them.

When asked to mention the date from which the DSE would resume functioning, Chauhan said that the date cannot be disclosed as it would be opened again by either the Prime Minister or the Finance Minister.
